I made the mistake of not resetting the start time after selecting a previously used temp profile and I accidentally cold crashed my beer directly after pitching yeast! Has this happened to anyone else? I’m letting it warm naturally and assume i’ll be alright after a longs lag time. Does anyone agree I should shake up the bucket again to aerate once I reach target temp? Irish Red Ale OG 1.056 and 1 packet of S-04.
Yep, just warm it and rouse it to get the yeast back in suspension and it will be fine.
I thought I’d report back that everything was A-OK . A great fermentation started up as soon as it reached proper temp. Beer tasted great too!
