Anyone using Node-RED? I’ve been thinking this might be an easier way of managing stuff and storing data.

Hi yes. Just resurrected my brewpi (arduino) after a year or more of the the sd card fail. Played with node red a little and on first thoughts, here are some ideas:
send sms on warning condition (eg fridge fail, temp out of scope)
send temperaature to cental remote display panel
exporing fermentation data
importing profile data
