Can someone tell me more about the temperature sensors?

I am wondering if I could use a temperature sensor bought from the brewpi store on a PID controller, such as an auber instruments PID. what kind of sensor is it? A PT100, K type thermocouple or something else?

This won’t work, because brewpi uses 1-wire temp sensors, which communice via the 1-wire protocol.

These are actually little microchips with a very simple microcontroller on board and a 1 wire communication interface.
