I am using the pumps sold by you to control my HERMS setup. However now I want to use them also to transport my beer ( from the fermenter to the bottling bucket) and was wondering the best way to sanitize them. As they have BSP threads I assume they are not sanitary so the only option would be boiling water? I thought also unscrew the camlocks, clean and sanitize and use but was wondering if the pump inside is sanitary.
Just recirculation with near boiling water to sanitize and pbw to clean works well for me.
I’ll make a photo soon of the inside of the pump head to show how they are designed to be sanitary. If you are curious, you can remove the 4 screws and open the pump head for inspection.
