I have attached the Brewpi to my fridge door and power currently is coming from a micro usb connection from the side port. However, this connection is really loose: if I open up my door or even slightly fondle with my cables, then there is a high chance the cable pops out. Consequently, the brewpi then loses power… Normally these micro USB connections attach more solid in place.
Is this a common problem, or is my board/plug/part defective?
Does your USB plug have those 2 small hooks?
The cable that comes with the spark core grips pretty well on the boards I have tested, but it is a bit short. Maybe you can try a USB male to female cable in between.
Thanks for the quick response. I did not know there was a difference in hooks for micro usb connectors, apparently it is not a single standard. I found a cable with bigger hooks and that fits much better!
