My new Spark 4 + two I/O boards arrived this week so I ordered a length of DIN which arrived on friday. After fitting it and the Spark DIN mount to the GPIO board, I mounted the Spark today and plugged it in, and nothing happened, no beep, no lights, no screen, nothing.
I didn’t receive any instructions with it, but I did find the ‘getting started’ guide on the BrewBlox site so I held down both the buttons on the top for 5 seconds, but can’t see the device via BT on my iphone 16. It’s getting warm too, but no sign of life.
My Spark 3 mysteriously died the other day so I’m starting to wonder if I have a problem upstream with one-wire devices?
At the time I connected the USB-C cable to the Spark, I’d already plugged in 3 RJ11 cables into the GPIO boards which connect to:
SSR expansion board, controlling 230V hot/cold circuits in my fermenter
SSR expansion board, controlling 230v HERMs element + pump
SSR expansion board, controlling 230v BK element + pump
The fridge, and both my controller boxes (two household 230v feeds from different rings) are turned off atm, because I don’t leave them on when I’m not brewing, so the SSRs aren’t live, therefore the only current on those cables would be coming from the Spark 4.
I haven’t opened the Spark 4, but will happily inspect on your advice.
Just let me know what I should do.
