Trouble when trying to set up Services in "Services" on Dashboard

Hi there all,

after working on setting up my hardware which is sucessfully finalised now I tried to det up a dashboard for automated brewing.

Starting with “Quick Start” I set up “Services”.
I want to set up a cascaded process.

I had to create a “Setpoint Profile” to be able to set up a cascaded plan.
Clicking on the “Setpoint Profile” to set it up I found that I should enable it.

The message says:
“Setpoint Profile is disabled and does not Claim [Kessel*] Setpoint”
*[Kessel] is the Name of the setpoint.

Trying that I received an error:
“Failed to patch Setpoint Profile: (“error”:“500; BLOCK_WRITE, NETWORK_ENCODING_ERROR”)” (see also image 06.

At the same moment the dashboard switched back to “Services” and all my blocks I had set up vanished.

I had to find out that I have to click on the 3 points in the right upper corner and to choose first “Reboot Controller” and then “Reboot System”. Then the blocks were back on the dashboard in “Service”. Trying again all the same happened again.

I assume the issue is to find in the reason for the error message
“Failed to patch Setpoint Profile: (“error”:“500; BLOCK_WRITE, NETWORK_ENCODING_ERROR”)”.

What I’m not able is to search wherever in what code for the reason for the error.
That is why I am urgently and earnestly asking for your help. Does anyone recognise this problem? Does anyone know what is causing it, and how can I resolve it (with your help)?

Many thanks in advance for any assistance.

Kind regards,
Winfried

Did you add the Spark service first? I.e., when configuring Brewblox did you run the brewblox-ctl add-spark command in accordance with the setup instructions? See Step 4 for your specific Spark (presumably it is a Spark 4) - Getting Started | Brewblox. After doing that, Brewblox will see the service which you then enable to use. I’d suggest giving it a different name other than ‘service’, the name of your brewery for example. After this, any blocks you add will be stored on the Spark and will show up whenever Brewblox is communicating with the Spark.

What are you running Brewblox on? A Raspberry Pi or some other hardware? And how do you have it connected to the Spark (e.g., Wifi or USB)?
