I had some unexpected behavior after installing the latest firmware update.
After kegging my beer, I had turned everything off (this is a fermentation setup) using “disable control”:
- Ferment Cool PID is inactive and not driving Ferment Cool PWM
- Ferment Heat PID is inactive and not driving Ferment Heat PWM
- Both actuators off
Then I did brewblox-ctl update and after installing the firmware update (from the UI, to version 2021-11-15), the Spark (3) rebooted and the cool actuator immediately turned on.
The cool PID was at 100% output and the cool PWM jumped to 100%, despite the [Ferment Cool] PID is inactive and not driving Ferment Cool PWM message. The actuator was shown as “on” in the UI.
Any ideas what went wrong?
