Using Brew spark v2 to calculate pasturisation units

Hi,

I’m contemplating purchasing a BrewPi Spark v2 but not for brewing. I want to use it in my bath pasteurizer to calculate PUs (Pasteurization Units) for cider, and give some type of alarm when the target PU count has been reached.
Looks like it has everything I need, temp sensor inputs + SSR control + display + potentially data logging.

If the one I buy comes pre programmed with brewing software are there any gotchas If i try to reprogramme it to calculate PUs…?
